Why we participate in rebate programs
You won’t necessarily find that every window and door company offers rebates but we find it’s important for a number of reasons. We support our customers and our community in their efforts to boost energy efficiency, lower emissions, and minimize consumption.
Note that though we find rebates to be a great way to make high-quality products affordable for our customers, we never recommend window, door, or insulation products that don’t meet our high standards. While a rebate is great, we would never allow it to be more important than providing you with quality materials and products. That said, here are two rebate programs we’re proud to participate in.
Energy Upgrade California has proven to be an excellent rebate program
There are many rebates and incentives available through Energy Upgrade California. Many of them apply to new windows or upgraded insulation. If you’re a homeowner whose primary interest is in boosting the performance of your entire house and are taking on several upgrades then you’ll get the most from this particular rebate program.
In fact, Energy Upgrade California can lead to as much as $6,500 in rebates. Are you planning to finance your energy-efficient improvements? If so, the HERO Program may make the most sense for you. There are numerous cities and counties within Southern California that have HERO Program availability. Essentially, the program allows eligible homeowners to borrow the entire cost of installing new windows or adding insulation products.
The loan is then paid back to either your city or county, depending on who’s taking part in the HERO Program, via your regular property taxes. The loan is not actually tied to you – it’s tied to the new property – which means it can be transferred to a new owner in the event you decide to sell your home. There are numerous loan terms ranging from 5 – 20 years and you can expect a fixed interest rates.
