When you go to your grocery store to buy an apple, does it cost more per apple if you buy a single apple or if you buy a bag of apples? In most cases, it is less per apple if you buy a bag. The same is often true of windows – the more you buy at a time, the less expensive they are per window. You will also likely save on installation, as you pay a certain amount just for the window installers to get to your home, set up their tools, and clean up. You may as well get as many windows installed as possible for the same setup costs.

That said, the process necessarily involves a crew of window installers in your home. We clean up when we leave and ensure your home is in the same condition it was when we got there, but that does not mean there is no dust or debris while the process is happening.
The easiest way to keep the inconvenience of window installation to a minimum is to have as many windows installed at once as is reasonably possible.
When you order three windows today and three windows two years from now, you cannot be sure that the windows will be 100% identical – even if ordered from the same manufacturer and they have the same model number. That manufacturer may have changed the colors they use slightly, or some other minor detail may be off.
Even if the windows are identical, the windows that were installed two years ago will not look as new as the windows installed that year. While your mileage may vary, for most homeowners cohesiveness is important. They want to be able to look at their home and have everything look as though it goes together.
